Waldron AR — In the wake of the sudden passing of our beloved Senator Gary Stubblefield, Gun Owners of Arkansas (GO-AR) has been diligently watching the candidates participating in the Special Election.
At the campaign’s outset, Tedd Tritt, originally a candidate for House District 46 and a GO-AR member, shifted his focus to run for the now-vacant Senate seat. Demonstrating a strong commitment to our Second Amendment values, he has worked closely with GO-AR, investing significant time in understanding our legal framework and objectives, thereby emerging as a strong contender for our endorsement.
Later at the close of the filing period, Wade Dunn, a valued GO-AR supporter, announced his candidacy as well. Currently, GO-AR supports both of these individuals.
Other Republican candidates, including Brad Simon and Mark H. Berry, have had several opportunities to engage with GO-AR but have not taken advantage of these to establish communication. Similarly, the third Republican contender has not reached out and has missed numerous public events. Independent candidate Adam Watson is a commendable person; however, his commitment to the Second Amendment fell short during a forum hosted by Resident News Network.
It is important to recognize that many political newcomers may initially lack experience but have the capacity to develop through education.
At some point GO-AR plans to announce a definitive endorsement for Senate District 26
